Suriname ↔ Guyana (Shared)
This is the budget way to cross between Paramaribo and Georgetown, in either direction, on a shared public taxi. We want to be completely clear about what this is: a public transport service operated by independent local taxi drivers. It is not a Travel The Guianas vehicle and we do not run it. What we do is connect you to it, book your seat on the shared taxi, coordinate your pickup and arrange border crossing assistance, so a service that is otherwise hard to arrange becomes simple to book. The vehicle, the driver, the condition of the car and the exact timings are in the hands of the local operator, not us. If you want a service we can stand behind, comfort, air conditioning, a clean private vehicle and your own schedule, book our private transfer instead, which we lead with for exactly that reason.
Suriname ↔ Guyana (Private)
The comfortable way to cross between Paramaribo and Georgetown, a private vehicle for your party alone, in either direction. We arrange the whole journey: a dedicated air-conditioned car with driver, the Canawaima ferry across the Corantijn River and border crossing assistance, so you travel in comfort with no waiting on other passengers and no shared stops. The ferry runs once a day, so this is a full travel day, but a private and far smoother one. From USD 450 per vehicle.
Suriname ↔ French Guiana (Overland)
There are no direct flights between Suriname and French Guiana, so overland is the standard route, and we run it daily in both directions on our own company buses. The Marowijne River crossing is by ferry or pirogue, and we handle the border formalities and immigration stamping at Albina on the Suriname side and Saint-Laurent on the French Guiana side. The USD 450 rate covers up to 3 people in your party, one way, on the shared daily departure. If you would rather have the bus to yourselves on a time that suits you, add the private upgrade for USD 115.
Cayenne ↔ Kourou Transfer
Private ground transfer between Cayenne and Kourou with English-speaking driver. The standard cross-territory route in French Guiana, useful for travelers staying in Cayenne but visiting the Guiana Space Centre or boarding the Salvation Islands catamaran from Kourou. Operates in both directions.
Kourou ↔ Cayenne Félix Eboué Airport Transfer
Private airport transfer between Kourou and Cayenne Félix Eboué Airport with English-speaking driver. Distinct from the Cayenne ↔ Kourou standard transfer: this is the airport-direct route operated through a partner serving the Kourou run, with higher fees reflecting the longer leg and partner pricing. Available for arrivals and departures.
Flight Paramaribo ↔ Georgetown
Small aircraft flights between city airports, offering a quick alternative to the 7-hour overland route. 19-seat Caravan, 45-minute flight time, operated by Gum Air (Suriname) and Trans Guyana Airways (Guyana).
