- Arrival at the South Drain ferry terminal by 8:30 AM
- Ferry departs 10:00 AM local time, crossing about 30 minutes
- Arrival in Georgetown or Paramaribo around 4:00 PM local time

- The Canawaima ferry departs once a day at 10:00 AM, so this is a full travel day. The difference with private is comfort and control, your own air-conditioned vehicle, a direct run with no stops to collect other passengers and our team handling the border for you.

- Valid passport
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- For Guyana, a visa if your nationality requires one. For Suriname, an entry voucher. Depending on your direction of travel.
Notes
Plan around this
- The Canawaima ferry does not operate on January 1, May 1, December 25 and December 26. We plan transfers around those dates.
- Suriname is one hour ahead of Guyana, which matters for any onward connection.
